In our latest real estate tech interview, I’m talking to Matt Murphy from Chime, a CRM product that’s part of Appsurdity family, and based in Palo Alto. I found the product as part of my CRM evaluation process for 360modern.
What do you do?
I’m the CMO and oversee all things focused on acquiring customers and keeping them happy at Chime. Our product helps find high quality leads for real estate agents and mortgage companies and then we give them the tools to convert those leads into customers. This includes a powerful yet simple to use CRM system as well as an IDX website. Our CRM provides our customers with a powerful workflow management solution that enables them to nurture relationships through automated drip campaigns and action plans, see the current health of their business via a reporting section as well as many other features aimed at helping them manage their business more effectively.
Why do you do what you do?
I like spending my time on products that fundamentally make an impact on people’s lives. And the real estate industry is both a fundamental sector to the economy and it’s also still the American Dream to buy a home. By providing value to real estate agents and lenders, we’re able to help them better serve their clients so more people can own homes.
What are you most excited about right now?
I’m really excited about how we are leveraging progressive technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence delivered in a simple intuitive way that helps automate workflows for our customers, helping them get more done each day and build better relationships with their clients.
What’s next for you?
I believe that 2017 will be the defining year for both Real Estate Technology and Chime. My team is working on making a big splash, letting the entire industry know about our product and how we’re helping our customers grow their businesses and Ring in the Sales! Personally, I’ve been studying for my real estate exam and plan on getting my license early next year.
What’s a cause you’re passionate about and why?
I’m passionate about finding ways to put more Americans in homes. With the rising housing costs, it’s becoming harder for American families to afford a home. Through the work we are doing at Chime, we are set on finding ways to make ownership accessible for everyone.
