Tt360 grouphe Swanepoel T3 Group, residential real estate’s definitive strategic information firm, has hired award-winning former Inman News writer Paul Hagey as managing editor of its Swanepoel Trends Report and industry power-ranking list Swanepoel Power 200.

Hagey will work closely with Swanepoel T3 Group Chairman and CEO Stefan Swanepoel on designing, editing, writing and organizing both publications, including the management of a stable of writers and researchers.

“Adding Paul to the T3 publications team is another confirmation of our commitment to provide the real estate industry with the most comprehensive suite of studies and reports possible,” Swanepoel said.

After leaving Inman News last October, Hagey founded HageyMedia, which provides content strategy to real estate startups, brokerages and agents. Hagey will maintain a core group of HageyMedia clients and continue his blog.

A graduate of the renowned University of Missouri Graduate School of Journalism, Hagey joined Inman News in 2011 and became a full-time writer in 2012.

Before Inman, Hagey worked as a newspaper writer and freelanced for a wide range of publications, including Texas Monthly, Missouri Conservationist, Comstock’s Magazine (a Sacramento, California-area business journal).

In its 12th year, the annual Swanepoel Trends Report, details the predominant overarching trends that will shape the residential real estate industry over the following years. The next edition is scheduled for release February 1, 2017.

The Swanepoel Power 200 (SP200) is in its fourth year. Based on a rigorous methodology and careful data, the annual report ranks the most powerful and influential executives and thought leaders in real estate every year. It also ranks leaders in a number of additional subcategories. It is released in January every year.
