by Drew Meyers on 10:33 am November 15, 2017

Once again, you can look to The Evergrey for inspiration in local. Looking for content ideas for your hyper local blog/website? A local podcast roundup for your city (or neighborhood). For a fantastic example, head over and have a look at Everygrey’s ” 10 podcast episodes that’ll teach you something new about Seattle”.   Doing the research to put together a local podcast episode resource such as this is something I believe every agent and broker would be wise to invest in. Own (A Piece of) The Evergrey

by Drew Meyers on 9:30 am June 30, 2017

The Evergrey & their technology arm Whereby.us are building a “better way to local“. I’m a fan (see prior writing here). They believe, and invest, in community. Proof: an event overview from November: Are you committed to community and local? Particularly if you’re in Seattle where Evergrey is focused, I’d encourage you to invest in their fundraising round. Want to invest (you have to be accredited, and have a minimum of $500)? Further details are here.

Tag them in the thread! Did you move to Seattle within the last two years? Tell us: What’s something that’s surprised you about the city so far? Check out … Read More »

Whereby.us is a creative agency for local. They are behind two local publications, The New Tropic in Miami, and The Everygrey in Seattle (which I subscribe to). Today I noticed the New Tropic has a section of neighborhood guides, sponsored by Lyft. As one example, take a look at the Little Haiti guide: Lyft (which I use regularly & am long on) certainly has an interest in reaching locals. Obviously, it goes without saying real estate agents, brokers, and franchises also have a vested interest in … Read More »

Building Community in Apartment Buildings

by Drew Meyers on 12:14 pm February 22, 2017

Given my own passion for community building, it’s probably no surprise I love everything about this mornings Evergrey newsletter (& blog post): People talk about how there’s no sense of community in their [apartment] buildings,” Stephanie said. “Not in the buildings I manage.” … Some years ago Stephanie saw a woman sitting by herself at a barbecue. She started talking to her, then invited her out to dinner with friends. Now the woman, who had just moved here from Chicago, is one of Stephanie’s closest friends. The … Read More »
