tinderThe Tinder user interface is drop dead simple. Swipe right if you like it. Swipe left if you don’t.

And it’s being brought into pretty much every vertical. See Jobr, Poachable, Kwoller, and Catch as just a few examples. If there are any car enthusiasts reading, have a read through the “Buy My Wheels” concept (Tinder for Cars).

Let’s put a few ideas together….

A simple interface to browse listings

Most of you have seen DoorSteps Swipe (it won an innovator award). It’s essentially Tinder for Real Estate.

That’s idea #1.

Real Estate Lead Gen 2.0

As I’ve already mentioned, someone will take a serious stab at putting buyers completely in control of their contact information.

Get trusted answers from real estate professionals, without giving up your contact information.

That’s idea #2.

Agent Powered Discovery

The future of real estate search will put the agent in the driver seat. Imagine a property showing up inside this interface, with an indicator that it was “Suggested by Joe Agent” (there would be a buyer profile which gave the buyer a chance to describe their circumstances, budget, & what they are looking for).

That’s idea #3.

Put those three ideas together, and you have a potential home run opportunity.

Lots of players could benefit from this. A portal abroad. A franchise like Keller Williams or RE/MAX. Leading Real Estate Companies of the World. Or even 3-5 independent brokerages who would want to split the cost of the app, and each have exclusive rights over it in their local markets. If you have listing data, and want to bring this experience to your market, and want to do it quickly — give me a ring.

Cards of House.

What houses are in your deck of cards?

PS: If you’re wondering why I’m not building this on my own, look no further than the fact that I’m spending my time on Horizon. I have no time or inclination to build two startups at the same time. But I have spent a considerable amount of time thinking through this concept, and know the people who can execute it for you (provided you have capital).
