Is Anyone Doing Video Like THIS in the US?
This is the first I’ve come across Brett Clements, but WOW.
Seriously — is anyone doing video like THIS in the United States?? If not, WHY?

Second… wow expensive…
I could see some nice developments doing this, but a typical agent, out of budget range
Shoreview MN Homes for Sale
Posted at 03:47h, 10 OctoberLOL, I agree with deanouellette’s response. Wow…and wow expensive. Most homes in Minneapolis, MN are not priced high enough to support such expense. Very nice though!

Posted at 19:43h, 08 OctoberNice. Video is definitely the future of real estate marketing. And this is a great example.

Posted at 20:45h, 08 OctoberI saw this earlier after reading Larry’s blog. I do like it, but have to agree with deanouellette in that this type of production is typically out of range for the average agent on one property. I would like to develop my skills to provide similar content though. Very nice!

Posted at 01:27h, 09 OctoberWhat’s the price range for a video like this? I can only see this being cost effective for luxury homes.

Posted at 01:50h, 09 OctoberDrew- Yes, Brett’s company (PropVid.tv) has a crew in Miami as of June 2010. Anyone interested in this level of video production can get a hold of George Mora, the Miami producer here at (http://platinumhd.tv/about.php).

Posted at 07:49h, 10 OctoberHi Guys, Im the agent in the video and the property is somewhere between 1.5-1.7 mil. The total avertising spend is a little over 17k and the video came in at just under 2k. I will be, as of just very recently, spending 10% of all vendor paid marketing on these types of videos….Its more about “selling the sizzle not the sausage”! Brett Clements is an absolute genius and I can tell you that if you get a chance to work with Platinum HD in the States……do it!!! But remember to give them full licence as I did for the best results! Glad to see the Aussie real estate agents can turn a few heads!
All the best, Lucas

Posted at 17:39h, 18 OctoberWait are you saying you spent 17k to advertise this property? Or that is your total budget annually?
either way, great job. But sounds very expensive.

Posted at 20:10h, 21 OctoberI can’t imagine shooting a video of this length for as little as you did, here in the States. My first impression, though, is it was a Mac commercial not a property feature. Obviously your target buyer is someone in their 30’s and into high-tech toys. Has this property sold because of this video? What kind of sizzle have you received from it? Where are you using it?

Posted at 01:04h, 11 OctoberIt’s definitely a good concept and if property exposure justifies the expense, I’d say go for it. Definitely keeping ahead of the competition.

Posted at 12:34h, 12 OctoberToronto has a lot of new projects using such videos for marketing. Check out:

Here is a link to one for the SkyHouse at the Rocks on Sydney Harbour over looking the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge at $15,000,000.

Posted at 19:12h, 15 OctoberThis is really impressive! I bet everyone wishes they had a budget like that!

Posted at 17:42h, 18 Octoberclarification – 17k in America means 17,000. In Australia, it might mean 1700 ? Correct?

Posted at 21:53h, 26 OctoberI work both in professional video production and the real estate industry in NZ. $1,700AUD sounds fair for a video like this – this one wouldn’t hae been very hard to produce.

Posted at 17:29h, 22 OctoberThis MAY only work work well with HIGH END High Rise Condos, but that’s about it. It just doesn’t make financial sense to do anything like this. It looks like a commercial promoting a Las Vegas Casino or something. Out of a list of the top 100 ways to market a property, this would be #100.

Posted at 05:19h, 24 OctoberThese guys kill on the production quality. I wonder if you couldn’t hit up some film students looking to build a portfolio to do something similar. With all the different plugins and effects available for software like Final Cut Pro and After Effects, getting stuff very close to this would be very possible I’d think at a fraction of the cost. The main thing is filming it properly to begin with.
Real Estate in Atlanta
Posted at 04:24h, 07 November$1700 is one reason. The other is it’s way too high profile for anything under say $1M in my neck of the woods.
Lastly, those actors look really bored. LOL!
Plano listing Agent
Posted at 00:58h, 19 NovemberWOW! Our average listing is under 200K and this would be somewhat overkill, especially at the price! We are shooting our own video and that seems to be working out very well.

Posted at 03:13h, 06 DecemberBased on my experience, most real estate agents consider $30 monthly fee for a web site as costly – talk about 2K video (if at all it is possible). That said, this may work for agents dealing with Million$ properties.

Posted at 22:26h, 10 DecemberI think there is something to be learned from this video. Of course you don’t need to go to these extremes, but thinking outside the box when it comes to marketing – and video – is interesting. We are doing things like this now: http://www.mainehomeconnection.com/property/70StoneRidgeRd
Boston Video Production
Posted at 21:29h, 13 DecemberReally an interesting one. But its all about creative video production when it comes to transmitting key messages and capturing the attention of viewers.
