Meet the RE Tech Founder: Alain Kapatashungu from FrontDoor

In our latest real estate tech entrepreneur interview, we’re speaking with the founder of Frontdoor, Alain Kapatashungu.

Without further ado…

What do you do?

I am the CEO & Co-founder at Frontdoor.

What problem does your product/service solve?

The ugly truth is — real estate professionals struggle with responding quickly to inquiries due to lack of relevant context. Frontdoor adds a qualitative layer of data, allowing real estate professionals to streamline the process of turning data into information, and information into actionable insights. We go beyond CRM – Real estate companies now have tools that improve efficiency by fostering agent engagement.

What are you most excited about right now?

I am excited about the clear consensus around harnessing more data to improve customer relationships in the real estate industry. Real estate professionals are generating more leads than they can manage and they want solutions that can help them better their engagement practices with customers online through smart data.

The stream of sustainable feedback received to date has confirmed that we are onto something great as we strive to play a role in the empowerment of real estate professionals everywhere.

What’s next for you?

We already have some of the country’s top residential real estate brokerages as Frontdoor launch partners. Starting with sync integrations we’ll deploy new tools around data collection which helps agents get a score qualifying every incoming lead to save agents hours in discovery. Frontdoor Index will be set in Q 2018.

What’s a cause you’re passionate about and why?

Ending homelessness we, especially in the real estate industry, need to have a business call. I met homeless who lost their dignity, I felt immediately purposed to find a way to pave the way forward.

I know that anyone in business can be part of creating a movement that lifts spirits and people in need, whether they lead a major global corporation or a start-up hatched in a garage.

Businesses with a social DNA are the ones that’ll redefine the role of business and set the table for a better society. I intend to fully play my part on this.
