The “Pitch” to Download an Agent App
I received a “pitch” from a Keller Williams agent to download their app this morning…

Easily connect with me and send property inquiries instantly.
Draw a circle on the map or drop a pinpoint to search any area.
See property details and full-screen photos, get driving directions, mark your favorites, create notes about what you liked, or share it with family and friends.
Estimate your home loans with a free mortgage calculator.
View open houses in any area.
View rental properties in any area.Download my app now to check out these customized tools that will bring you the best experience in a mobile real estate search.
I am still confused about WHY consumers would ever click download? How many buyers are there who don’t already have the Zillow, Trulia, Redfin, or Realtor.com app on their phone? And, even if they did download the app, what would get them to USE the app?
PS: Remember, Apple may be yanking all these KW agent apps this year as a result of enforcement of its 4.2.6 and 4.3 guidelines announcement.

Posted at 11:03h, 02 JanuaryIt is definitely a tough thing to pitch to someone. I work first hand with this with Coldwell Banker. Agents get their own “app” and it most of the features listed from this KW app seem very similar.
Getting a client you know to work with you is not as hard. Especially if you tell them about the app during a meeting and can help them download and show them around the app and why they should use it.
The hardest part is cold clients in your database you randomly invite to download the app. In hopes that they start searching on your platform so you can monitor their activity. Because like you mentioned, people are already using other systems.
When I train agents on this, I tell them the best chance you have at switching someone to your app is selling your personal service. Letting the client know if they use your app, they can get in contact with you faster about showing properties etc.
