6 Steps To Create Custom Market Stats With Altos Research
Recently, we received an inquiry from our site regarding How’s the Market? The prospect liked the quick snapshot comparison of the surrounding communities that we serve. He thought it was helpful in seeing how each community compared to one another in a “All-in One” chart.
Pamela and I would like to share how we used Altos Research tools to create these comparisons to share. Hopefully you’re already using or familiar with Altos Research tools, right? If not, make sure to take a minute and visit, login and navigate their site www.AltosResearch.com. We will walk you through and share, step-by-step, how we use their reports in our predesigned site by Virtual Results.
How To Create a Single Altos Chart Comparing Multiple Cities or Zipcodes
STEP 1: Go to Altos Research and Navigate to “AltosXplorer”
You want to 1) Select your County or Metropolitian Area and 2) add City of Zipcode.
STEP 2: Choose Your Statistics
We suggest you keep it simple until you become more familiar with Altos powerful reporting. There are 4 basic stats to choose from Price, Average Days on Market, Inventory and Market Action Index. In this scenario lets use “Price.”
STEP 3: Set your Chart Option
Setting you chart options can be tricky, but again if you keep it simple the charts will come out great. Play around with different options and see what works for you.
STEP 4: View Your New Chart
This is the final result of your stats. You can get a visual of the stats used for you chart and if you decide to tweak it, you can see the changes here. Once complete, you can do a number of things, but in this scenario lets choose “Copy Chart HTML tag.” This copies a file to clipboard and ready to paste into WordPress.
STEP 5: Open Your WordPress Page and Paste the Altos HTML Tag
Once you create you page where you want this chart to be place, remember to click on the HTML tab and paste the code.
STEP 6: View Your New Multi-City Altos Chart
There you have it, check the Visual tab in your WordPress page and see the results. You can also choose preview on the right of your page and see how the chart looks in an actual post.
We hope this helps. You can see the finished product on our LaPalmaHomeFinder411.com market stats pages like this page devoted to La Palma Home Values and this one devoted to Cypress home values.
