A Bit of House Keeping, and a New Travel Website
I know – it’s been a bit quiet around here lately. Over a week since a blog post! I wanted to give some context to why that’s the case. As some of you may know, I’m working full time on a new web startup in the travel vertical. Hence, my focus has been on building Oh Hey World for the past few months (the to do list is beyond long).
You may have noticed a few ads for Oh Hey World here over the last few weeks. The why is easy. I want you to sign up for the private BETA.
Why?
You all travel. Or you have spouses that travel. Or kids.
Oh Hey World will do all your travel notifications upon arrival (text your kids, email your parents, broadcast on Facebook and Twitter), track your travel history, and connect you with your friends nearby. With ONE click.
Go ahead. You can sign up already…
Now, back to Geek Estate. Don’t worry, this site is NOT going to be forgotten. I’ve spent too much time building this community over the course of the last 5 years, and care too much about the audience to let it fall by the wayside. Geek Build is still moving forward (development has started). There are certainly no shortage of hot industry topics to discuss right now (like ML/Realestate.com). Of course, if you’re interested in contributing original content to this site, feel free to get in touch.
Onward…
Lastly, if you’re looking for some inspiration for your business today, watch Gary Vaynerchuck’s video I posted on my blog earlier today:

Posted at 10:26h, 14 Augustcan you make an app that emails your parents and texts your kids, but doesn’t post where you are to your Facebook/Twitter accounts? There were reports of people getting their houses broken into b/c some “friends” found out they were out of down due to Facebook posts. (yeah…people suck)
