Frankly, I don’t really know the first thing about real estate investing — which is why I don’t write about it here. But Joshua Dorkin certainly does; so much so that he’s turned it into a real business. We interviewed Josh a few months ago — so, even if you aren’t interested in the investing side of this industry, regular readers at least know a little bit about Josh and BiggerPockets from that interview.

Well, today, I want to congratulate Josh on BiggerPockets’ 9 year anniversary. Josh has been a friend for a long, long time — and I know how hard he’s worked to get to where he is today. Those that have run companies know that working on something for 9 years is no cakewalk (I haven’t made it to that point yet in mine). As Steve Jobs said, it’s extremely hard to persevere, which is why most entrepreneurs and businesses fail.

Where most have failed, Josh has succeeded.
