Breather – A Blend of Real Estate / Travel
Given real estate and travel are the two industries I know best (if “community” is an industry, that would be in the list too), I’m quite intrigued with Breather. It’s value proposition is to book a peaceful, convenient room whenever you need it. Especially as someone traveling heavily for several years, I’ve found myself in a use case of wanting a quiet room to have a call or meeting in (coffee shops are okay, but often loud and distracting) across a number of cities.
Not a pure real estate play, nor a pure travel play – but has massive opportunity in both industries from my perspective. Zach Aarons, a seed investor in the company, wrote some thoughts on the concept & what attracted him to invest here. Founded by Julien Smith and Caterina Rizzi, the company recently raised a round of $20 million led by Peter Thiel.
Can you see yourself using the service on your next trip? What about renting your brokerage’s conference room or offices when they’re not in use?
