I’ve written several times about connecting with other Geek Estate community members (here and here) using Oh Hey World.

A few of you took me up on the offer.

Well, since then, we’ve redesigned the concept of “communities” on Oh Hey World. Part of what we are aiming for is to help community members to get to know one another.

How?

Bigger photos, and requiring responses to a couple questions in order to join. It only takes about 30 seconds to answer them and gives everyone a better sense of why a particular community matters to you. On Facebook, it only takes a split second to “like” something — we are creating a more meaningful experience that will help you get to know your fellow community members.
