Google's Stance on Guest Blogging for Links
High quality guest blogging is certainly a proven strategy for link building. I’ve long thought guest blogging is one of the best link building strategies you can engage in, and to be totally honest, I’m shocked more real estate agents don’t do it regularly. Where people screw it up is that they “just do it for the links” (which is beyond easy for experienced bloggers to weed out).
Here is Matt Cutts’ take on the topic of guest blogging for links:

Posted at 03:29h, 11 OctoberWell said Drew. Guest blogging, if done right, is a great way to build relationships with industry peers and have a voice in the community, and of course build high-quality links. The problem is that a lot of SEO folks are starting to take this practice to extremes and only looking at it as a “quick and dirty” way to get a contextual link.
Surely, Matt Cutts et al. have their eye on this…

In Ann Arbor we are lucky enough to have an extremely creative community that constantly create new niche blogs that crave readership and engagement. It’s always good to build a relationship and show these blogs some love in comments, shares, and tweets before asking for a guest post opportunity.
