Posted at 18:53h, 08 AugustI remember this video getting a lot of buzz when it came out last year. I might suggest that the “cool” offices are more for agent recruitment than for consumers. At the previous brokerage I owned we made our office look pretty slick, only to find out that the overwhelming majority of real estate buyers / sellers (at least in our market) never set foot in the office. That’s why we went virtual this time around.

Posted at 10:37h, 09 AugustMike, I agree with you, and for me as an agent cool offices are a red flag. To me it means they might need a larger commission split to pay for the fancy office and they might want to have a lot of mandatory meetings so the owners can feel like they are getting good use out of there expensive office.
Our sellers want to meet at their home. Our buyers either want to meet at the first house we show them or a coffee shop that very close to their work or home. They don’t want to come to our office, and neither do I. I work from home and want to work, not travel to an office or sit through mandatory meetings.
If I was looking to attract agents it would be via great technology such as a good CRM, Website and App tools to help build their online reputation and generate leads, providing leads that come in from the company Website, very few meetings, a Broker that offers support online and fast, and a very generous commission split.
My current model like yours is virtual.
