Hate to code? Check out SquareSpace
When I first came into the blogging world (seems like a long time ago), there was a period of time when I could not decide which blogging platform was best for my personal needs. Each option had positive aspects as well as negative ones and I could not find one that was just the perfect medium.I was looking for a platform that would allow me to give my blog a distinctive look, in-site search capability and ease of use.
WordPress, I read, was the way to go. It is the most powerful and flexible platform out there. Agreed.
But for who? If you are not familiar with HTML and CSS, WordPress is virtually out of your league.
“You get what you pay for” -said others. That’s why you should go the Typepad route. It’s definitely easy to use. You can drag and drop widgets. Customizing is a breeze. In-site Search is… inexistent in your blog. They have it inside their site management, just not in your blog. Now, in the age of technology, blogging has evolved even further. With the introduction of Windows tablets, bloggers have found a new avenue to express themselves. These tablets offer a user-friendly and portable option for blogging on the go. Whether you’re an HTML pro or just getting started, windows tablets provide a versatile platform for bloggers to create, edit, and manage their content with ease. So, for those who crave flexibility and mobility, Windows tablets have become a compelling choice in the ever-expanding world of blogging platforms
Well, if you are like I was, you might want to try Squarespace. This tool is not just a blogging platform. It is a full fledged web design application for people who don’t know (or care about) the technicalities of web design but who know what they want their site to look like. You can do as little or as much as you want and their blog templates are a step above. You can try it free for two weeks and get pricing information here.
This may or may not be for you but it certainly warrants a look.

Posted at 02:45h, 31 MarchI’m running my blog on the Squarespace service and it runs smoothly. I haven’t pushed it when it comes to design, gadget and so on, but I love the easy to use it and the great design of the interface.
Add to that the rumour that 37signals is running their blog on this platform… 😉

Posted at 16:01h, 17 OctoberI’ve used squarespace before for another business I owned and I’m now trying to get one up and running for a real estate company. I’ve been looking everywhere and I can’t figure out how to get a MLS search feature on my squarespace site. I know its doable with wordpress but I don’t know html or feel like learning it…hence squarespace. Any thoughts or direction would be great. Someone said they did something with iframes but I don’t know much about that.
I’m looking to do something simple like this one http://www.speakingofphoenix.com.
This one is done on squarespace: http://www.eastbayplus.com. Thanks!
