Horizon Early Beta
You probably already know we’ve been working on a new hospitality exchange app called Horizon.
Who is it for?
Millenials (18-34) who want to stay with trusted connections wherever they go (& save money in the process). Most of that millenial crowd can’t even afford to travel if they can’t find a free or extremely cheap place to stay.
We’re looking for early beta testers to play with the product ahead of the general public.
Even though I’m sure a big chunk of this audience is not millenials who want to stay on someone’s couch, I’ll venture a guess that everyone has family members or friends who are in our target market. My ask to you is to send this (either this blog post or the landing page) to anyone who may be interested in using the app to travel (huge bonus points if you or your friends are currently on an extended trip or about to embark on one).
While the primary use case early on will be to find people in your trusted networks to stay with on your next trip, you’ll be able to turn off your “request stay” button per group if you are willing to connect but aren’t interested in having someone over to your house. In the simplest sense, the product is a location aware member directory of any group. For instance, if you are a member of YPN or Tom Ferry’s YourCoach / Inner Circle Facebook groups – the new app will enable you to find other members based on geography.
Lastly, if there is a very specific private or secret Facebook group you belong to, which you feel would benefit from an app like this to connect members in person, please shoot me an email (drew at horizonapp dot co).
