In our latest Meet the Real Estate Tech Entrepreneur interview, I’m talking to Charanjeet Ajmani of Inzopa.com.

What do you do?

Charanjeet AjmaniI am the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer for Inzopa.com. We are a private network of homebuyers, owners, mortgage lenders and real estate agents.

Why do you do what you do?

The idea for Inzopa came when I was looking to purchase my current home. We are in an era where social media plays such a huge part in our lives. Facebook allows us to keep in touch with friends and LinkedIn provides us with a way to network with professional contacts.

My goal was to create a platform that allowed me to connect with both a lender and real estate agent, who were best suited to fulfill my mortgage and real estate needs, based off of a specialized approach.

Generation X individuals tend to gravitate more towards big banks because of who they are, not what they can offer.  I wanted to give both Generation X and Generation Y a way to work more in a person-to-person social environment.

What are you most excited about right now?

The idea that we are connecting loan officers with consumers based on their transaction history is exciting. 80% off all consumers who use Inzopa won’t end up shopping around. The reason for this is because they realize they have already found multiple lenders that specialize in the loan they are looking for and there is no need to look elsewhere.

Yelp has become extremely popular for anyone looking for peer recommendations on anything from a hot new restaurant to the best place to board your animal.  I am excited because Inzopa now offers a similar service to those looking to buy a home.

What’s next for you?

I am focused on making Inzopa the go-to product for anyone looking to take out a mortgage. We currently have operational users, but are looking to sign up even more while we are still in beta. This will help us to improve our user experience before our official launch.

Right now, we are already working with some of the top mortgage banks, but being able to grow even more will allow us to get a better look from the point of view of the consumer and lender.

What’s a cause you’re passionate about and why?

I am very passionate about helping to protect our environment for future generations. For me this all starts with my son. We frequently go hiking together around the San Francisco area. I want him to be able to see everything that the outdoors has to offer and the importance of preserving it.
