In our latest Meet the Real Estate Tech Entrepreneur interview, we’re speaking with Chris Smith of Curaytor. Certainly no stranger to most of you, he co-founded Tech Savvy Agent and worked at Inman as their Chief Evangelist before moving on to start his own company, Curaytor.

Here’s a bit more about him, from his own mouth…

1) What do you do?

I run an Inbound Marketing company called Curaytor and as a part of that I co host a weekly web show called Water Cooler. I’m the co author if the upcoming book ‘Peoplework‘. I also work for dotloop as their chief paper killer and I’m on the board of directors for Rent Match. I speak all over the country at conferences on the topics of mobile, social and digital marketing.

2) Why do you do what you do?

I’m driven by gratitude. The more people I can give a reason to say thank you, the better. I’ve always understood that money and numbers follow, the don’t lead. So technology and helping business owners implement it is what I would “do” without pay.

3) What are you most excited about right now?

That we’ve moved beyond understanding that technology matters and we have moved into an era where we are looking use it to better help people. It’s a new way of working in a highly digital and connected world. We call it Peoplework.

4) What’s next for you?

Doing fewer things, better.

5) What’s a cause you’re passionate about and why?

#ChangeBrazil – my wife is from São Paulo and is there now in fact with our kids. The World Cup and Olympics are both on the way yet much of the country lives in the slums. The government there is increasing bus fares to pay for stadiums when they should be taking from their insane salaries.
