Who are you and what do you do?

I am Eachan Fletcher, Founder & CEO of NestEgg. NestEgg is a fintech startup for renters and real estate investors combining the fastest and most flexible rent payment solution on the market with unmatched cash flow benefits.

Our mission is to create a million new millionaires by 2025.

What problem does your product/service solve?

NestEgg brings early financial independence to landlords and financial security to tenants.

We help landlords reach their goal of financial independence much more quickly by providing their income up front and offering 6 month interest free financing on all operating expenses. The superior cashflow this creates means rental property investors are able to grow their portfolios much more quickly with much less risk.

We help renters align their rent payments to their income by providing installment plans and other flexible payment options at no extra cost to the tenant and without changing when the landlord gets paid. This gives tenants a stronger household P&L and results in them being much more likely to stay up to date on rent even during challenging times like COVID.

What are you most excited about right now?

Following our recent Series A led by Hyde Park Ventures right here in Chicago and Bonfire on the West Coast, we’re scaling the team.

As a former CTO I love building product almost as much as I love building product teams. It is hyper exhilarating to be bringing in so many new and talented young people who are really accelerating our progress

What’s next for you?

Our wallet product is going to be HUGE. This will enable landlords to unlock the full income of their entire lease right on the very first day it is signed.

What’s a cause you’re passionate about and why?

Space exploration.

This is the only long term, enduring answer to all the biggest problems facing us as a species. We occupy a microscopic corner of a universe so vast and rich in opportunity and resources as to be effectively infinite, yet we tend to squabble over this tiny and transient little patch.

I cannot exceed the wisdom of Carl Sagan on this: “All civilizations become either spacefaring or extinct.”
