Starting tomorrow, I’m off for a 18 day vacation, but I just couldn’t resist the temptation (I’m a blogging junky) of one last post before I leave — so I tried my best to put together a selection of links for geeks to tide you over. There has been lots of blog content over the past few days worth reading, here are some highlights —

Hotpads is now in the “For Sale Listings” game — they launched 200,000 for sale listings on Tuesday. Congrats to GeekEstate contributor Colleen Corgan (who just so happens to work at Hotpads)!

Oliver from vFlyer (and contributor to GeekEstate) penned an awesome post at the vFlyer BlogThe “Killer App” Myth and the Rise of “Next Big Thing”.

Facebook launched a slew of new advertising optionsBeacon, Social Ads, and Insights — which I think real estate professionals looking to build their business should at least investigate.

Congrats to RealBird for passing the 10k member mark.

Kris Berg, definitely one of my favorite writers on the web, wrote a great post about Chasing the SEO tail at BloodHound Blog. Her message is that you’ll be fine with SEO as long as you are passionate and stay on topic, saying “it is an enormous mistake to spend any measurable amount of time worrying about keywords and SEO. If you write frequently, if you write on topic, and if you write with style and passion, the visitors will follow.

ValleyWag has screen shots of the 1st Google phone app. What will the new Google mobile platform mean to real estate? To be honest, I haven’t had time to think about it yet — but maybe some of you readers have.

It seems this whole “OpenSocial” thing organized by Google (and others) is big. Several bloggers have written their thoughts about it over the past week, including Steven Groves, Brian Boero, Jessica Swesey, Pat Kitano, and yours truly.

Trulia has some new additions, which Jay already covered here.

And lastly, here’s the Google Acquires Zillow video that you might have seen on other blogs (but no, Google is not really buying Zillow).

I won’t geek out with a computer while I’m gone, but will be back to my geeky ways in early December!
