The financial crisis of 2007-2008 was a massive meltdown that say trillions lost; the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.

Why do I mention this now? I saw the new film, The Big Short, last night:

The film is definitely worth watching this holiday season. Especially, if you’re like me and didn’t know all the ins and outs of CDOs, subprime, adjustable rate mortgages (among other things) and their role in the collapse — and, especially, since there is probably not a reader of this blog whose life was not impacted in some meaningful way.
