peersorgThere is a new initiative related to the “sharing economy” that launched today. Peers.org. Some of you may have seen it.

PEERS is a grassroots organization that supports the sharing economy movement. We believe that by sharing what we already have — like cars, homes, skills and time — everyone benefits in the process.

The sharing economy is quickly becoming a global phenomenon (recent NYT article). For those passionate about the sharing economy, they’re likely extremely passionate about it. Some of those people live in your farm.

Which brings me to real estate.

Are any agents or brokers using the sharing economy as a marketing niche in your local area? Helping home owners in your own farms share resources among each other? Helping anyone and everyone optimize their AirBnB presence? Telling everyone about Lyft? Getting people to join the HUB? Helping people figure out how to make money, or save time, via TaskRabbit?

A “socially conscious broker” is a niche. So is a “sharing economy broker”…

What’s your niche?
