The Time Suck Economy
I wrote a piece about the Time Suck Economy on Geek Wire the other day, but it’s worth calling out here too. What is the time suck economy? Simple, exactly what it sounds like. The technology economy built around wasting people’s online time.
A couple brief thoughts to share here…
- Think utility. Not entertainment.
- Understand — what problem are you actually solving?
- Don’t waste your talents entertaining people and helping them accomplish less in life. Spend them helping people accomplish more and lead better lives.
- Know — what do you want people to remember you for?
- Think big.
