Zillow Nails Past Solds Feature
Zillow toyed with past sales branding/data back in 2008 with the Virtual Sold Sign program way back in 2008 (while I worked there). It took a backseat on the priority list for awhile, but it seems they have finally nailed the feature. Here’s a short video that explains how it works…
Note: You can email your past transactions to [email protected] and Zillow staff will input them for you. Must include address, sale date and buyer/seller/both representation in an excel spreadsheet.
Kudos to the Z team.

Posted at 08:19h, 16 OctoberThis is a really good idea. Certainly some agents won’t use it if they’re not concerned about their profile/presence on a portal, but those that are at least “covering their bases” will upload some significant sales.
I don’t do much on the Zillow platform any more, but I’m emailing some listings to the upload team to see how the process works.

Hello,
Thank you for sending your past sales spreadsheet.
This is an important update on the status of your request for upload
support. Due to the high demand of requests, we are anticipating a wait
time of 3-5 weeks before your past sales are
uploaded. If you still want us to upload the past sales on your
behalf, you must reply to this email with your past sales spreadsheet in
excel with the following fields:
·
Property Address (including ZIP)
·
Sold Date
·
Sale Price
·
Who you represented (Seller, Buyer or Both)
If you already sent us the past sales in excel with
these fields, just reply to this email saying you still want us to do
this for you. If you do not want to wait the anticipated 3-5 weeks, you
can get started entering your past sales
now by logging into Agent Hub à Profile
à Past Sales.
Best Regards,
Your Zillow Team

Posted at 11:11h, 28 OctoberJust got an update that my listings were added. They found most of them, a few I had to go back and add manually. Worked well, but I can’t imagine this hand-holding service will last long. It’s not that difficult on your own.
