Zillow, DotLoop, and Your Data: Does It Matter?

by Sam DeBord on 9:47 am July 23, 2015

Zillow is acquiring DotLoop. Fires are burning in real estate social media. Let’s get this out of the way. There are tons of brokers and agents who dislike Zillow. Call them what you want. They’re here. I’m a regular critic of the company when they (regularly) make moves that don’t seem in the best interests of brokers, agents, or their clients. I was also a big user of Zillow in the early years, contributing to thousands of posts, discussions, photos, etc. There are plenty of really good … Read More »

by Drew Meyers on 1:58 pm July 22, 2015

Zillow Group is making another acquisition: Dotloop (read press release). +   Zillow seems to buy up every innovative technology player in the entire industry. Successful brokers and agents are making technology a … Read More »

by Mark Miles on 2:06 pm March 8, 2013

It’s possible you’ve never heard the word “revolutionomics,” but if you’re a real estate professional, you might look into it. The word has become a favorite in discussions involving 27-year-old CEO Austin Allison and his thriving, real estate-focused startup, DotLoop.com, which focuses on simplifying the paper-heavy transactions characteristic of negotiation and closing processes. Let’s start with the obvious question: “How does it work?” Once an agent creates their account, they open a communications “loop” that is displayed dashboard style, with active clients, client activity and … Read More »
