The other day, I worked at a coffee shop right near where I used to live in Queen Anne. The old coffee shop closed down since I was there (probably a year ago), and now its under a new name and new ownership. The new name is Cederberg Tea House. I spoke a bit with the owner, who started it with her husband, and learned several things:

• They have been open for 2 months
• They are from South Africa
• Real estate agents come in all the time and get tea and coffee
• Not a single one has bothered to interview them, or go out of their way to get to know them

Any agents who focus on Queen Anne read this blog? Go interview the owners of Cederberg Tea House, and feature them on your site. I guarantee you’ll earn a valuable ally in the community in the process.

Hyper local blogging shouldn’t be a struggle…I’m not really sure why so many people struggle so much with content at the local level. Why every single agent doesn’t interview and feature every single new business owner in their “farm”…is beyond me. And Coffee Shop owners should be at the top of the list, since they are often a daily stop for people in the immediate area and when the topic of real estate comes up with their customers, YOU want to be the person that business owner thinks of first.
