Position Overview
They are seeking an entrepreneurial, hands-on, and collaborative VP of Product to play a critical role in their company creation process. This person will partner with startup CEOs and studio teammates across design, engineering, marketing, business development, and finance to drive product-market fit, commercial traction, and escape velocity.
This is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about hands-on building (this is and always will be an IC role), product discovery, startup creation, and working in a close-knit team of skilled operators who are deeply committed to their craft and to each other. It also offers the chance to gain significant startup equity while diversifying risk, as all team members own equity in each company we build.
Responsibilities
- CEO Partnership – Build a trust-based, productive relationship with startup CEOs (focusing on one company at a time) and become their go-to partner throughout the launch, discovery, and build phases.
- New Venture Ideation & Diligence – Conduct primary research and due diligence to help identify, vet, and launch new ventures, for which you will then lead product efforts during incubation.
- 0-1 Product Leadership – Work side by side with the co-founder/CEO and studio teammates to: Understand user needs, define and ship the MVP, orient the business model toward healthy economics, drive commercial traction, enable successful partnerships and fundraising, lay the foundation for a multi-year value-creation roadmap, and above all, ensure relentless momentum towards our target outcomes
- Team Building – Assist startup CEOs in recruiting their full-time tech teams as part of our goal to transition companies to full independence from studio resources within 9–12 months of launch.
- Process Optimization – Improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and repeatability of our company creation process through tooling, playbook development, and process refinement.

Product Leadership & Execution
- Expertise in customer research, competitive research, user interviews, prototyping, MVP development, and iterative product improvement.
- Ability and willingness to execute as an individual contributor, driving products from inception to launch.
- Strong ability to translate market insights into actionable product and business strategies.
- Experience in building repeatable systems that enhance efficiency and scalability.
Startup Creation & Growth
- Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and high ownership in early-stage environments.
- Proven ability to build trust and operate as a strategic thought partner to startup CEOs.
- Deep understanding of pricing, distribution, partnerships, and growth strategies for early-stage startups.
- Ability to develop compelling product narratives and roadmaps to support GTM and fundraising efforts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Building
- Experience working closely with design, engineering, marketing, and business development teams.
- Ability to assess and recruit high-performing product and tech talent for early-stage teams.
Experience
Product Leadership & 0-1 Execution
- 8+ years in product management, with a strong track record of building and launching successful products.
- Significant 0-1 experience, having led new product development from concept to market launch.
- Hands-on execution in a startup environment, thriving in individual contributor roles without reliance on large teams or extensive resources.
Startup & Venture Creation
- Experience partnering with founders/CEOs, acting as a strategic thought partner in shaping product vision and execution.
- Familiarity with venture creation, including market validation, customer research, and company incubation.
- Experience supporting fundraising efforts, including crafting product narratives, roadmaps, and investor materials.
Domain Exposure (Extra Credit)
- Experience in Vertical AI, B2B SaaS, Protech and/or Fintech contexts.
- Background in venture-backed startups, venture studios, or high-growth product organizations is highly preferred.
