Public Record Data in Bulk for Real Estate Websites
One question I’ve been asked a few times is where to find public property records in bulk — beds, baths, square footage, recent sale prices & dates. If you are an entrepreneur out there looking to build a killer real estate portal, you’ll likely need to buy that data from one of the following companies:
- First American
- Core Logic
- Fidelity / RED (Real Estate Digital)
- Onboard Informatics
- Stewart Title
- Dataquick
It’s been awhile since I’ve researched this space, so if any of these companies no longer sell public record data or you have another data provider that should be added to this list, please leave a comment and I’ll amend the post.
Additionally, don’t forget to take a look at all the free data sources out there and here is a post detailing your options for obtaining nationwide MLS listing data.

Posted at 09:15h, 14 OctoberTrust me – they are marketing to web development and IDX companies. It’s just mostly through offline channels.

Posted at 08:24h, 15 OctoberI researched this earlier this year, and came up with the same names. However, for bulk data, I only found four credible options. You can see my list here: http://www.mooreds.com/wordpress/archives/847

Posted at 11:02h, 16 OctoberThe list of 4 is the best list… if you are looking for national data. Keep in mind that there are regional players (CRS Data, The Warren Group) that are specialists in their respective market areas.
