The King of Linkbuilding: WordPress.org
We all know “linkbuilding” is important to getting your site to rank highly in the search engines. I just randomly decided to check the inbound links to WordPress.org since they just released WP 3.1 today — and I think I found the king of linkbuilding in the process.
WordPress.org has 235 MILLION inbound links.
How many do you have? You can see for yourself by using Yahoo Site Explorer.
Are you constantly thinking of new ways to attract links with great, timely content? Are you executing on those ideas? If not, why not?
And YES, I am well aware of the fact that no one reading this blog will EVER attract 235 million links. But, it just goes to show you the extreme of linkbuilding.
