There are a lot of misperceptions floating around out there regarding Google’s famous PageRank and what it is and is not good for. Luckily for us, Rand Fishkin at SEOMoz recently recorded a “whiteboard friday” on the topic that anyone looking to understand the SEO landscape should watch. One of the big myths is that you should exclusively use PageRank for evaluating potential value for links you have to chance to acquire/secure. Additionally, make sure to realize that PageRank is for “pages” — not domains.
