NAR has a few new commercials focused on home ownership (see here to watch the videos and here for Inman coverage) . Trulia has released a new ad campaign…The House is Only Half Of It. Ad #1: Ad #2: I’ve long wondered why Zillow Group continues to throw marketing dollars at commercials for Trulia, given Zillow is clearly the stronger consumer brand. This ad campaign seems to validate my theory that Trulia is more focused on the research about areas (neighborhoods, cities) while Zillow remains a brand built around homes and the financial data associated with the moving process (Zestimates, ZHVI, etc).

At the bar prior to the Seattle Sounders home opener Sunday night, I was shocked when I looked over and saw the tail end of a Homelight television spot. Though I still have many friends who work at Zillow, I’m not (financially) biased when I say I’m still constantly impressed with Zillow’s marketing… I’m a fan. (I should note that I just watched it on Youtube and a Realtor.com paid ad came on immediately following… go figure)

I’m a big fan of Zillow’s new commercials about what home means, the latest one Spencer tweeted hits a chord given the story is of “travel” (a topic I happen to care deeply about). When you travel for 9 months a year. Seriously, who does that??!!
