Mobile MLS Solution for Agents
Mobile devices are incredible. Personally, I am in love with my Ipad. The world of information always available right at your fingertips. Well, sort of. Real estate has evolved with mobile to the benefit of consumers and agents everywhere with mobile search, messaging, and e-signatures making transactions easier for everyone. Now, if only agents could: access valuable MLS data through a feature-packed app which allowed them to research and show homes, communicate with clients and agents, link properties to clients, set up future showings, get instant sales comparables, access private agent remarks, and look cool for NOT using 3rd party real estate apps in the field. Hmmm…
Say hello to MLS-Touch. I first learned about this solution last Friday when Chris Smith from Inman was blowing up my twitter feed while conducting a demo day for real estate technology providers. MLS-Touch really caught my eye (having been frustrated just the past day with Core Logic MarketLinx inept mobile MLS solution: MLXWireless). Look, I’m not here to bash on Core Logic as I’ve grown accustomed to their Tempo system, but they are severely lacking a good mobile MLS solution for agents. MLS-Touch appears to have solved that problem.
This product is not yet available in my market (Fort Worth via NTREIS) and I haven’t actually tried it out yet. As of now MLS-Touch only has approval in the following 4 MLS; CrisNET, CRMLS, MLSListings, and Sandicor. It’s available in the Apple App Store, and so far MLS have either subsidized the entire program or have their agents pay $9.95/month to use it.
I contacted my local association and MLS provider to see if they would be interested in giving this product a shot. What do you think about it? Does your MLS have a good mobile solution or do they need a new one? California agents in the participating MLS – have you tried it yet?

Posted at 08:01h, 02 AprilOr Zillow/Trulia could just add a couple quick private fields in their database, put out a paid version of their mobile app for agents, and kill it 🙂
Of course, all agents would have to use the private fields to make it valuable..

Posted at 08:28h, 02 AprilOr they could just buy MLS-Touch. Much easier (feel free to send stock options over to me)
MLS are here to stay for the long term. MLS-Touch is smart for revolutionizing this market which is only serviced by a handful of providers and has a regular and predictable revenue model (agent/broker dues)

Posted at 19:05h, 02 AprilHey Greg, great post and I appreciate the plug. I gave the demo to Chris Smith and Inman last week and have been using MLS-Touch in my business for the past year. I assure you it’s everything you hope it is. I demo MLS-Touch locally at the Apple stores here in Orange County and the agents love it! Give your MLS a nudge and let them know you demand more info than the consumers already have.

Posted at 21:16h, 02 AprilThanks for the feedback Jeremy. I’m going to hop on one of the webinars to see it in action soon. Sounds like fun being the demo guy for it, maybe I’ll do that in TX if we get it soon…
