Welcome Our Latest Contributor, Caroline Pinal of Give Back Homes
Back in July Drew had the chance to meet with the folks behind a cause marketing concept in real estate called GiveBackHomes. I had the opportunity to speak with one their team members today, Caroline Pinal. She joins GEB as our newest contributor. The founders of GiveBackHomes have a history with regard to cause marketing having worked at Toms shoes, the company that donates a pair of shoes to someone in need for every pair they sell.
The founder, Blake Andrews has parlayed his experience in becoming a new homeowner to a new concept in the real estate industry that represents a unique and compelling concept.
Referred to as a “philanthropic” conduit for real estate professionals, GiveBackHomes has partnered with Habitat for Humanity and the real estate industry to address housing needs around the world.
I’m looking forward to Caroline’s first post that explains how the concept works and the projects they have under way. Join me in welcoming her to the GEB team.

Posted at 11:31h, 26 NovemberWow, interesting idea. At $600 per year it is not inexpensive, but if you would get even one client from them, it would of course cover it.
I would be interested if they have any successful test cases or examples.
The other way to look at it is a charity donation, and if it works great, and if it does not you donated the money to a good cause.
My wife grew up in the Philippines, so I have some insight from her of how valuable a pair of shoes or help building or fixing up a home can be, so I really hope it works and they help a lot of people!
