I came across 10 min realty this morning. Request a showing, instantly. Sounds like another CurbCall. The big questions: How will buyers hear about the app? How do you get enough liquidity of agents in a given area to deliver showings in real time? What type of agents will agree to be on-call? I’d love thoughts from the 10 min realty team on the discussion here.

Some of you may have seen the news that CurbCall got acquired last week. CurbCall launched a couple years ago as the “Uber for real estate“. Big news from Curb Call: they’ve pushed their product live, and signed Realty One as their first client. The deal is exclusive for four areas – San Diego, Orange County, Las Vegas metro area, and Phoenix metro area. Press release here. It’s been a few weeks since I presented Curb Call, on stage at the Realogy / Retsly hackathon, the day before the NAR Expo in San Francisco. For those unfamiliar with it, it’s most easily described as “Uber for real estate”, where home buyers in the field can call for agents to initiate showings, as soon as possible. Curb Call (Uber for Real Estate) — built by Seth Siegler at the Realogy hackathon. It got 2nd place. I love this idea…I’m not sure leads get any more qualified than someone requesting an agent to show them a house, right now. Who is going to take this idea / prototype — and scale it to a large metro area?
