Vendor Review – Sierra Interactive

In my previous post I mentioned I had found a new website/IDX vendor and promised to tell you who it was in an upcoming review post. Well, that time has finally come. The vendor I chose for our Intown Atlanta real estate website is Sierra Interactive and below is a video overview.

I’m sure I didn’t cover everything in the video, so feel free to ask questions in the comments. I’ll answer what I can, but if you want to get specifics straight from the horse’s mouth, contact Sierra Interactive via their website.

About Mike McGee

My wife Tina and I own and operate Intown Elite Real Estate in Atlanta GA. Like most small business owners, I wear many hats. I'm the broker, IT support guy and amateur webmaster, among other things. I run a few websites, including my primary site at, a niche site at covering lake homes near Atlanta, and others.

  • Has your site taken a hit traffic wise during shift of URL/website?

    • No, not at all. Everything is 301-redirected. Traffic has not really recovered much from the decline I experienced on my old site, but with the same level of traffic the Sierra Interactive site is converting much better than my WordPress/Diverse Solutions site.

      • That’s good. Can you share budget/costs for the project at all?

        • Sure. When I started with them the cost was $6k startup, then $199/month. I spent a little more because I had them build some custom maps and some other custom work. I thought the custom work pricing was very reasonable.

They now have a new package that includes the website, Seller Lead Landing site and Single Property Site for $1,495 to set up and a monthly fee of $499.95 per month (which covers up to 25 agents/users).

          • Got it, that seems reasonable.

          • Jack Morgan

How long of a contract do they ask for?

          • None that I’m aware of.

How are you feeling about Sierra Interactive now that it has been 6 months?

  • Why do you think your Sierra Interactive site is performing better than your WordPress site?

So are you still loving it? Any updates on your feedback good and bad? Thanks!
