“It all started with a “Tweet” … Not just any Tweet, but my very 1st Tweet! It was to the former Editor of this very Blog, Mike Price, at that time Mike operated an RE.Net company that handled content syndication. he can now be found under the “Handle” @MichaelPrice_01

… with that simple Tweet, an “Obsession” was born. BTW, this was July of 2007, when I joined Twitter (Find out when you joined Twitter by Clicking Here). Now 5 1/2 years later I know one thing very well … even though I teach all of this to RE professionals, some of it still escapes me.

Now I am on Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, LinkedIn, Google+, My Blog, This Blog, Google Places, Yelp, BlogTalkRadio, UStream, Myspace, Classmates, MeetUp, Flickr, Vimeo, Active Rain, Foursquare, Orkut, Pintrest, Plaxo, SoundCloud, StumbleUpon, Yammer, Zoomla, and maybe more!

I don’t even know where I am anymore! That’s kinda my point here … What are we doing to ourselves? Yes, it’s important to be somewhere, but where?

Disclaimer: “I am not claiming to know the answer to ALL of the problems the Internet has caused!” I am simply going to talk about what the last 5 1/2 years has taught me. Take this, think about it, talk about it with someone you trust, maybe even try it out!

When you’re ready, come back for each of the 12 Blog Posts in the series and make it work for you!

Ok, you now know where it started, but where I am going with this? Good question! I call it “The OnLine – OutLine” and it comes from a finely tuned series of training classes I’ve crafted and present to the RE professionals I coach. WHAT!? 12 Posts? Are you kidding me!? I have tried so many times to make it shorter, however, I’ve found that controlling the pace generates better results for my participants. Think of how long it took you to learn what you learned through Senior Year of HS .. Was that “Rocket Science”? Probably not. In retrospect it probably doesn’t seem as if it were that much yet it TOOK 12 YEARS! With that said, I’ve decided to create 12 more posts, one for each step of the process and try to help you create Your Very Own … Online Outline. You may have done one or more of these steps, however my experience has taught me that each are important to your overall Internet presence.

Here is the Breakdown … 1st up “BRANDING” .. Why? Because it is the MOST IMPORTANT part of the entire exercise and I’ve found it’s skipped by the vast majority of RE professionals.
